In the theme of community and photography, on September 19 we will be holding a panel discussion between artists and community members alike on the importance photography can hold in underserved communities. Photography Without Borders will be joining us along with the artists from In These Strange & Uncertain Times, including Homies Helping Homies co-founder, Kevin Bass. VIRTUAL EVENT

An online panel discussion

Homies Helping Homies is a community mutual aid initiative focusing on food and household item distribution in the Point Breeze neighborhood of South Philadelphia.  They believe in the power of community and the healing power of home rituals. By putting the tools to craft home made meals in peoples hands, they hope to make home ritual and family time more accessible to people struggling financially. By providing sanitary and household cleaning items they hope to support clean, happy, and healthy households that families can take pride in. By supplying PPE and harm reduction supplies they hope to encourage and support safety for folks who are underserved and overlooked by government aid and capitalist structures that seek to devalue them.
