Long term
collaborations
How can we create a series of impactful portraits that form the foundation of our documentary project? How can text or audio elements support our portraiture? In this workshop, Marc will present examples of his use of portraiture in long term projects in Brazil and India, sharing his experiences with outreach to potential partners and collaborators, and address the challenges and opportunities that present themselves on location when making photographs.
With a focus on thoughtful collaborations that result in equitable representations, Marc explores how research and writing exercises help to shape his in-depth photography projects.
